In regards to physical weapons… there seems to be a lot of them, but they seem to be too similar. They all do very high damage, they all do good armor shredding, they all take energy to fire. Some of their ranges are different, but some are not even different there.
I would expand physical weapons to not be so similar.
I actually have (I think) every physical side weapons capable of reaching Mythic status, so I can talk about them in detail:
Great weapon when upgraded. High damage, high resist drain, no energy required, but only 1-2 range which is a big limiter. No changed.
Most potential damage output of any physical weapon (I think), high resist drain, but requires energy, and fires at 2-4 range which is pretty easy to use properly. Suggest removing all of its resist draining, but also remove its energy requirement. So this weapon no longer requires energy to fire, which is amazing, but no longer shreds armor, meaning you shouldnt rely on it exclusively, especially when fighting 60+ physical resist enemies.
This weapon is silly, and makes no sense to me. It has identical stats to the Nightfall, except they are inferior in every category. And for that extra kick to the groin, it’s a legend/mythic only item, meaning it is hugely rare compared to the Nightfall. I have 5 Nightfalls but only 1 Bloodweep in my inventory.
Bloodweep has the same firing range as Nightfall, 2-4, also takes energy, does less damage than equal level Nightfall, and shreds less armor. So… not only is it 100% worse and far more rare than the Nightfall, it doesn’t even cover a different firing range. They both are 3 use weapons too.
Suggestion for this weapon: Reduce its damage even further, but give it absolutely amazing armor shredding capacity. Make this weapon special, and with very, very low damage, but massive armor shred (-30 or even -50 at mythical level) make this weapon something someone wants to use in the opening round of combat, and then ignore as they switch to high damage weapons. So it’s a combo weapon. Weak and useless on its own, but makes your other physical weapons massively better.
Basically same stats as Nightfall, little less damage, little less armor damage, but has 3-6 range. Given it’s unique and somewhat longer than usual range, I guess this weapon is alright. Though I would prefer it not require energy to fire.
